Egg Truck Studio

About Egg Truck Studio

Egg Truck Studio started under the name The Fire Studios when a college graduate's dreams of employment hit the harsh realities of the job market. And so an entrepreneurial experiment launched with little capital at hand and a wishful level of software development knowledge.

The studio began with several failed VR experiments on a newly aquired Oculus DK2, but quickly pivoted to mobile development. Within a few short months a mobile IP, Ambulance Mayhem 3D, grew from a collection of open source assets and hope. A short and successful marketing campaign came to fruition with the outright sale of Ambulance Mayhem 3D to the upstart Wrecking Ball Mobile Game Studio.

After the first sale development began on Codename Rad, an 80's themed mobile game featuring completely custom-made assets, code, and music. Due to poor understanding of proper data storage and second-hand equipment many of these assets were lost well into the development cycle. Around this time our founder's lengthy job search serendipitously came to an end. Codename Rad was finished in haste with assets salvaged from the data calamity and released on the Google Play Store for posterity.

With the need for continuous income satiated by our founder's full time employment the studio's focus was again pivoted back towards PC development. Work began and slowly continues on our next IP, a yet-to-be-titled resource managing space adventure. The goals for this IP required new technologies, resulting in a GPU-based 3D Air Balancing System released on GitHub
